Justin R. Parker, 37, of North Attleboro, was shot multiple times along the southbound lanes of the interstate just before 10 p.m. His Mercedes swerved into a neighboring lane and struck a Lexus SUV, sending it into the woods. The family inside was uninjured.

Parker swerved a second time and hit the center guardrail before he came to a stop. Paramedics rushed Parker to Sturdy Memorial Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead.

Police have put out a call for any drivers who have video of that area at that time to contact investigators.

That includes I-95 South from Waltham to Rhode Island, or Rte. 3/I-93 corridor from Boston or Weymouth, through Milton and Canton, to 95 South.

The shooter is believed to have merged from one of those directions onto I-95 around 9:20 p.m.

“We are asking truck drivers, rideshare drivers, or anyone who employs a dash cam or who might otherwise have captured footage along those roadways during that time frame to contact us at 781-327-9801,” said District Attorney Michael W. Morrissey, whose office is investigating the homicide. “We have developed certain information that may help us to identify distinctive features on the car driven by the shooter.”
